SUMMARY:BHI JFWG NIH Grant Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The BHI Junior Faculty Working Group is sponsoring a grant-writing workshop delivered by AtKisson Training Group: https://www.atkissontraininggroup.com/ \nThe workshop is designed for junior faculty looking to get concrete guidance on how to prepare R01-level grants for the NIH. The workshop will be held in person over two half-days and will be highly interactive. \nRegistration is now open through August 15\, 2025:\nhttps://brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu/bhi-jfwg-nih-grant-writing-workshop/ \nDates & Times:\n• Wednesday\, September 3\, 2025 – 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM\n• Thursday\, September 4\, 2025 – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM \nLocation:\nCenter for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research\nStaged Research Building\, Seminar Room 127\n661 Hoes Lane West\, Piscataway\, NJ 08854 \nSeminar Structure:\n• Two half day sessions\n• Combined lecture format and engagement activities\n• Content tailored to writing for NIH \nExpected Outcomes:\n• Broader understanding of the grant planning\, writing\, and review process for preparing an NIH proposal\n• Ability to make less arbitrary and more informed writing decisions \nCost: $80 per person\nThis fee covers the required AtKisson Training Group handbook for each attendee.\nLunch will be provided on both days. \nNote: The cost of the workshop itself is being covered partly by BHI funds ($5\,000) and partly by a Rutgers Mutual Mentoring grant ($6\,000) awarded to Miriam\, Linden\, Natasha\, and Soha.
