
PhD Research Fellow for the New Jersey Innovation and Research Fellowship Program at NanoNewron
NanoNewron, a pioneering biotechnology company founded by Dr. Luciano D’Adamio, is seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. candidate (within 3 months of defending) or recent Ph.D. graduate (within 12 months) to join the team through the New Jersey Innovation and Research Fellowship Program.
This is a unique opportunity to conduct hands-on research in neuroscience and nanotechnology while contributing to real-world innovation in Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead or support applied research aligned with our core technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development
- Present findings and contribute to publications
Who You Are:
- Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program and preparing to defend within 3 months OR earned a Ph.D. within the last 12 months
- Academic background in neuroscience, nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, or a related field
- Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Eligible and enthusiastic to co-apply with NanoNewron for the NJDOL IRFP grant

NanoNewron Awarded $2.5 Million NIH STTR Grant to Advance Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment
NanoNewron has been awarded a $2.5 million Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase 2 Grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This funding will advance NanoNewron’s NN-840 program, developing novel TNF-alpha inhibitor nanobodies designed to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) to treat Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. The grant, awarded through the National Institute on Aging, will support Investigational New Drug (IND)-enabling studies for the NN-840 program, with an IND submission planned for 2026.
