BHI Strategic Plan

Brainstorming for Brain Health

The Brain Health Institute (BHI) is embarking on a planning and priority-setting process to develop a strategic plan that will guide the Institute’s growth and success for years to come. As the institute has grown tremendously in the past few years, our goal is to review our mission and values and envision the BHI of the future by setting priorities that serve the membership and fuel further expansion. In Fall 2023, we assembled a Strategic Planning Committee to steer this process and began to engage the membership at all levels during the BHI Symposium in November.

Strategic Plan Timeline

The process to develop a strategic plan for BHI will continue for the next six months. We will continue with input collection from the membership and other stakeholders and will begin discussions with university leaders on goals and funding sources. We will hold a retreat in late Spring to develop a draft that will then be circulated for further comments. We will keep you updated through this page and emails. Your input will be invaluable to map a way forward.

Share Your Thoughts

We value the perspectives and insights of our faculty, students, post-docs, residents, fellows and staff. Your input will be crucial in helping us refine our priorities.

To begin, we are requesting your insights and observations regarding our mission, vision, and core values. Your responses to the survey will help to inform how we best serve our members, engage with one another, and pursue our core areas of focus as an Institute. If you can, complete this survey by Friday, February 9, 2024, before our first town halls. However, if you miss this deadline, the survey will remain open for continued feedback. Your responses are anonymous and no identifiable information will be collected.

BHI invites all faculty and trainees (undergrads, grads, postdocs ….) interested in neuroscience and brain health to help develop its next strategic plan. Please join us at the virtual townhall meeting to provide ideas about how you would like BHI to support your research, clinical and academic endeavors. Kindly RSVP to let us know if you will be able to attend the virtual townhalls. Thank You!
