Our Director
As the Director of the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center at Rutgers University, Dr. Michal Schnaider Beeri leads groundbreaking efforts to understand and address Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. With a patient-centered approach, the center is dedicated to discovering preventative treatments and interventions, focusing on the earliest signs of cognitive decline.
Dr. Beeri, also a Professor of Neurology at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, has built a distinguished research career exploring the role of metabolic factors in brain aging and cognitive health. Her extensive work includes both epidemiological studies and clinical trials aimed at preventing and slowing Alzheimer’s disease. With over 200 peer-reviewed publications and continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Alzheimer’s Association, and other foundations, Dr. Beeri’s expertise and leadership drive the center’s mission to improve the lives of individuals and families facing cognitive challenges.
