“A diet-drug interaction reveals hepatic mTORC1 to mediate diet-induced energy expenditure”

Speaker: Yang Yeh, PhD
Postdoc, Lamming Lab, University of Wisconsin-Madison

After graduating from Rutgers, Dr. Yeh earned his PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. As a postdoc, he joined the Lamming Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study the intersection of metabolism and aging.
Dr. Yeh’s research investigates how the composition of diets can be manipulated to improve glycemic control, energy expenditure, and body composition. His ongoing work focuses on dissecting the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of dietary isoleucine restriction and how the implicated nutrient sensing pathways may play a role in the progression of Alzheimer’s disease
