Is Limb Immobilization an Appropriate Model to Investigate Limb Disuse Adaptations: A Pending Grant Application
Dr. Wages will be discussing his aims page and intended methodology, and is interested in feedback towards fine tuning this idea before beginning work on the strategy section. This is not a formal talk but is to provide many opportunities for discussion and critiques of this pending grant application.
Dr. Wages’ research focuses on pragmatic approaches to identify neuromuscular mechanisms of muscle weakness, physical function/mobility limitations, and fatigue with aging, injury, and neurodegenerative disease. His lab utilizes novel interventional strategies to enhance physical function and mobility in older adults and in individuals with orthopedic and neurological disabilities.
