2025 Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research Pilot Awards

To facilitate Neuroimaging and Neuroscience research at the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR), the BHI and CAHBIR are pleased to offer four grant opportunities. In addition to scanning on CAHBIR’s Siemens Prisma 3T magnet, researchers can also propose studies that utilize CAHBIR’s transcranial magnetic stimulator and EEG facilities. The application deadline is June 1, 2025.

Collaborative Supplement Grants

These $60,000 grants allow researchers to add or expand a neuroimaging aim to an existing or pending federal, state or foundation award. Up to 3 awards are available

Full Research Pilot Grant for RU-NB faculty

The full research pilot is for $60,000 and requires an R21-style proposal.

Mini Research Pilot Grant for RU-NB faculty

Mini research pilot grants are for $40,000 and utilize a brief 3-page research proposal format. Up to 3 awards are available.

Mini voucher for RBHS faculty

RBHS faculty who do not currently have federal funding for grants involving scanning and have exhausted their startup funds are eligible for $20,000 vouchers for scanning and technical services. Up to 4 awards are available.
